How CredibleMind Approaches AI in Behavioral Health

AI can close real gaps in behavioral health access and early intervention when it is held to the rigor and oversight our clinical and regulatory partners already expect. This page explains how we build, govern, and stand behind every AI capability in the CredibleMind platform.

Why This Matters

Trust but Verify

Behavioral health sets a higher bar for AI than most software categories. The people our platform reaches are often at a difficult moment, and the providers, payers, community organizations, and regulators responsible for them expect oversight to match.

We built our approach with input from the market – the payer and provider AI governance teams that evaluate and hold vendors accountable – because the standard for AI in this space should be set with the people answerable for it. The result is a practical framework any organization can check us against, and one we will keep building on as our practices and the field evolve.

Introducing VERIFY

We call our framework VERIFY: six commitments that govern how AI shows up anywhere in the CredibleMind platform.

Two of the six are promises we make directly to the people we serve: plain-language honesty with every consumer, and shared governance with every partner. The other four are the operating disciplines that make those promises reliable: how we vet what AI can draw on, how we build in the ability to turn it off, how we protect data, and how we watch for bias.

We present VERIFY as a loop rather than a checklist because all six operate continuously and at the same time, for every AI capability we deploy.

VERIFY

Gold: promise to consumers and partners. Cyan: operating discipline.

  • V: Vetted by Humans. Operating discipline. No AI output reaches a consumer unless a human expert stands behind the material it draws on.
  • E: Explicit with Consumers. Promise to consumers. Consumers always know when they are talking with AI.
  • R: Reversible by Design. Operating discipline. Every AI capability can be disabled at the partner level or the jurisdiction level.
  • I: Insulated Data. Operating discipline. Protected health information stays within contained, controlled infrastructure.
  • F: Fairness Monitored. Operating discipline. We review our models for bias and drift on a defined, ongoing cadence.
  • Y: Yours to Govern. Promise to partners. Our partners keep a voice in the roadmap.

The Six Principles

Vetted by Humans

Operating discipline

No AI output reaches a consumer unless a human expert stands behind the material it draws on. Our AI works only from safely guarded data and an expert-vetted resource library, and every model is trained and tested by people before deployment.

Explicit with Consumers

Promise to consumers

Consumers always know when they are talking with AI. We say so in plain language before the first substantive exchange and in every session, and we are clear about what the AI can and cannot do. If a consumer shows signs of crisis, the system routes them immediately to crisis resources, states clearly that it is not an emergency service, and brings in human review.

Reversible by Design

Operating discipline

Every AI capability can be disabled at the partner level or the jurisdiction level, and we test that path. If a capability comes offline, the system falls back to standard navigation.

Insulated Data

Operating discipline

Protected health information and personally identifiable information are safeguarded by how our systems are built as well as by policy. Data stays within contained, controlled infrastructure and is never sent to a general-purpose public AI model.

Fairness Monitored

Operating discipline

We review our models for bias and drift on a defined, ongoing cadence. Findings are escalated and addressed.

Yours to Govern

Promise to partners

Our partners keep a voice in the roadmap and have a named counterpart on our side for every decision that matters, from launch to rollback to any safety concern.

What Comes Next

In the months ahead we will add to this Trust Center: how each AI capability moves through governance before it reaches a consumer, how VERIFY lines up with the regulatory standards organizations already answer to, and a self-assessment to evaluate us, or any AI vendor, against these six commitments.
